Clarabell Ruth (Olson) Hole
(1912 ~ 2005)
Clarabell was called home to her Lord on January 29, 2005, at the age of 92.
She was born to Otto A. and Frances (Olmstead) Olson on Dec.2, 1912 in Cooper Township, Webster Country, Iowa near Fort Dodge.
As a young child, her family moved to Roseburg, Oregon, where her father built the house that would be her home for the next twenty years. She grew to love the area's rolling hills, oak forests, and warm summers.
Clarabell married Leland R. Hole in 1938 and was his life companion for 64 years until his death in 2003. They were the parents of three children two sons and a daughter.
About 1941 they moved to Gresham, Oregon where, together, they built a house that was their home about 38 years. In 1979, they moved to Sandy, Oregon where they lived out their retirement years.
She enjoyed her weekly Bible studies, playing the piano in church and for the family, cooking, canning, working in the flower and vegetable gardens, and camping.
Survivors include her sons and their wives, nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Clarabell was preceded in death by her father Otto and mother Frances and her daughter Leona.
Her greatest aspiration in life was for her family to know and love the Lord. While those who knew and loved her weep that she is "gone", those who have gone before her are now gleefully shouting, "She is here!"
A service of celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 3rd, at the Sandy Funeral Home in Sandy Oregon.
