Houston, Miss. – Services for William Lynn Harmon, 75, were held May 24, 2002 at Southern Funeral Chapel with Bros. Steve Griggs and Jonathan Childress officiating. Burial followed in Macedonia Cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.

He was born July 29, 1926 in Chickasaw County and was an amusement Machine Technician. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, past District Commander of the VFW, and a member of the American Legion.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lora L Harmon and Ruby B Griffin and a daughter, Hazel Denise.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Hazel Brock Harmon of Houston; a sister, Margaret Jenkins of Montecello; ten children, Diana Linley, Jerald Harmon, Michael Harmon, Danny Harmon, Dennis Harmon and Mark Harmon, all of Houston, Linda Smith of Allen Tex., Kathy Overstreet of Memphis, Tenn., Marie Elliott of Tupelo, and Judy Hare of Bradenton, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Charles Griffin, William Griffin, Tommy Griffin, Earl Brown, Rodney Griffs and Kenneth Davis.
