Mollie Mae Foard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Foard, was born June 11, 1884, at Ellington, Mo. She departed this life April 4, 1936, making her age at time of death 51 years, 10 months and 7 days.
She was united in marriage to Frank Grogan in the year of 1912 and to this union nine children were born. All but one daughter have preceded her in death.
She was converted some years ago and lived a true Christian life but never united with any church.
She was taken to a Springfield hospital to be operated on for cancer, but was found to be too low to be operated on. She bore her suffering with patience.
She leaves to mourn their loss, her husband, one daughter, Ethel Grogan, five sisters, two brothers and a host of other relatives and friends. Her parents, sister, and three brothers and eight children preceded her to the Great Beyond.
She was laid to rest in the Near Home cemetery April 5. Rev. W. F. Ice conducted the funeral service. Her sisters, one brother, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and one nephew attended the funeral.
Weep not for Mollie, dear relatives and friends, we know she is through suffering and will be with Jesus, where sorrow is no more. --One who loved her, Mrs. Roy Grogan
