Mrs. Dainty Lurene Brown, 42, of Route 3, Waynesboro, was pronounced dead on arrival at 2:50 p.m. Friday at Waynesboro Community Hospital.
Mrs. Brown was born on July 1, 1928, in Stuarts Draft, a daughter of Mrs. Blanche D. Brooks and the late Finley Brooks.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Cleveland H. Brown; three daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Carrie) Fitzgerald of Waynesboro, Mrs. Roger (Kathy) Campbell of Route 3 and Mrs. Clyde (Sharon) Marshall of Staunton; two sons, Gary M. Brown of Route 3 and Cleveland H. Brown Jr. of South Hampton; two sisters, Mrs. Alton Bartley of Route 3 and Mrs. James Jordan of Staunton; two brothers, Lawrence Brooks and Sonny Brooks, both of Stuarts Draft; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Memorial Chapel of McDow-Tyree Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Paul R. Barnhart. Interment will be in Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren cemetery, Crimora.
Active pallbearers will be nephews.
The family will receive friends at 312 Thirteenth St., Apt. B.
