Delia May Leach, 70, Dies in St Mary's
Delia May Leach, 70, widow of John D Leach, 423 East King Street, died in St Mary's hospital at 12:30 pm yesterday. She was the daughter of Peter and Evaline Lynch, born in Waggoner, IL, April 21, 1874. Mr Leach and she were married in Hillsboro, March 4, 1895. They moved here from Atwater IL 31 years ago. he died March 30, 1940. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs Lola Fay Orey and Gladys Evaline Landgrebe, both of Decatur; a son Pfc Harry Wayne Lynch, with the army in the Philippines; a sister, Mrs Hattie Harkey of Raymond IL. There are eight grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. For 27 years Mrs Leach had lived at 348 East Marietta Street. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:30 pm in the Free Methodist church. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home after 2 pm today.
