LAKELAND, Fla. - Wilbur LeRoy Bacon, 85, of Scenic View Bend, formerly of New Waterford, passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where he had been a patient.
Born Nov. 2, 1925, in East Palestine, he was a son of the late Wilbur and Mildred Rauch Bacon.
He worked as a truck driver most of his life until retiring in 1986.
He was Protestant by faith and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served in the Philippines at the Headquarters Squadron at the conclusion of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Chamberlin Bacon.
