He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and a native of Ashland.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ross Walker of Winnfield; two sons, James E. Walker of Winnfield and Paul T. Walker of Bossier City; two daughters, Barbara Stanfill of Castor and Hazel Cotton of Keithville; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Southern with the Rev. James Dodd officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery.
