Phillis D. Willerton Ricketts, age 79, of Maryville, died at 1:15 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at Maryville Manor in Maryville. She was born on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 1929, the daughter of the late Christian William and Gertrude Willerton. She married James Ricketts on July 11, 1969. He precedes her in death. She is survived by three daughters: Frankie Zuhr of Collinsville, Kay, and husband Gene, Scott of Blackwell, Okla., and Linda, and husband Chuck, Kittrell of Memphis, Tenn.; three sons: James, and wife Linda, Ricketts of Wellington, Kan., Terry, and wife Ruby, Ricketts of Nardin, Okla., and J.W., and wife Mary Ann, Francis of Glen Carbon; two sisters: Margaret Tautfest of Red Rock, Okla. and Velda Miller of Pampa, Texas; a brother: Kenneth Wellerton of Stillwater, Okla., 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Along with her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers: William R., LeRoy and Calvin Willerton; and two sisters: Dorothy J. Sledge and Norma Wilkins. Phillis retired as a data processor from Blackwell Zinc in Blackwell, Okla. Her memberships include Copper Creek Christian Church in Maryville. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. to noon, on Monday, Jan. 12, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon. Funeral service will be at noon, on Monday, Jan. 12, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, Rev. Keith Kepley officiating. Interment at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon. Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon is in charge of arrangements.
