DIES AT HOME IN NORTH NEWTON
N J Marlowe, 58, prominent resident of North Newton, died suddenly at his home Thursday morning at 5 o'clock. Although he had been in poor health for several months, his death was attributed to heart trouble.
Mr Marlowe moved from the Startown community to North Newton several years ago. He was the father of 11 children, four boys and 7 girls, three of whom died from poisoning some time ago. He is survived by his wife and the eight remaining children. He was a member of the Newton Baptist church.
Funeral services will be conducted from the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev Mr Tilley and Rev Mr Mills. The body will be buried at Startown.
