Graveside Services for Jewell W. Rector, age 89, were held Monday, September 7, 2009, at 12:30 pm at the Alex Byers Cemetery. Mrs. Rector passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born January 7, 1920, to the late Benton and Lottie Mae Pippin Byers. Mrs. Rector was retired from Acme Boot Company with more than thirty years of service. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many people. She loved making a vegetable garden. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-laws: Gary Dale (Mary Katherine) Rector and Larry J. (Debbie) Rector, Sr. - all of Cookeville. Grandchildren are Greg, Larry Jr., and Jolena. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Hermon Rector. Bro. Raymond Hensley officiated at the service
