Paul George Brown was born in Banner County, Nebraska and began school at district #8. He moved with his parents to the ranch nine and a half miles south of McGrew, NE. He attended a one room school at district #7. He married Mary Hieter, 1930. Paul and Mary lived in the cement house on his father's ranch. This is the house where Agnes Polly and family and later George Brown and family lived.

Paul was working in the fields, farming with a tractor. He stopped to eat lunch that had been packed for him. After lunch he stretched and felt a pop in his shoulder. Developed a high fever and was taken to the hospital in Scottsbluff, Nebraska where he died of an aneurysm at age of 26, leaving a wife and two young daughters.

Paul Brown passes away:

Paul Brown, well known young man of Northeast part of Banner County, died at the Methodist hospital located in Scottsbluff, NE early Sunday morning. He was 24 years of age.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Assembly of God church in Bayard, NE. Rev. Raymond L. Sherman was in charge.
Paul Brown is a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Brown, pioneer residents of Banner County, NE. Paul is recognized as a young man of high character and his death brought regret to many, many friends throughout this section.
Paul Brown is survived by his wife and two children: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Brown, and three brothers and one sister.
