She was a graduate and Valedictorian at St. Mary's Cathedral High School. She was a graduate of the State Model School and was Valedictorian there also. She taught in the Bordentown and Lambertville Elementary School systems.
During World War I, she was the society page editor of the Trenton Times. She was a charter member of the Mount Carmel Guide and was one of the organizers of the Visiting Nurses Association in Trenton.
