Service Held Friday for Reuel Carlson; A funeral service was held Friday afternoon for Patterson native E. Reuel Carlson. He died last Wednesday in a Turlock hospital after a long illness. He was 66. The service was held at the Evangelical Covenant Church with the Rev. Richard Kelly officiating. Burial was in Patterson District Cemetery. The Hillview Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
He was a farmer and dairyman who for the past 15 years was employed by the Patterson Water District as a ditch tender. He was a member of the Covenant Church. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Carlson of Patterson; a son, Phil Carlson of Patterson; two daughters, Joyce Lingrel of Modesto and Joanne Bockhold of Australia; four sisters, Ora Butzbach of San Luis Obispo, Bulah Unnell of Hayward, Verna Horman of Modesto, and Irma Dalgleish of Auburn; a brother, Keith Carlson of Patterson; and three grandchildren.
