Ruth Barney 77 of Chillicothe passed from this life early Monday Morning Sept. 1, 1997 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 19,1919 in Chillicothe the daughter of Grover C. and Celora Williams Stout. On April 7, 1946 she Married E. Donald Barney who servives.
Also surviving are a son Donald Michael Barney Columbus grandchildren Teresa Barney Athens, Kimberly Ann and Natalie Ruth Barney both of Columbus a sister Agnus Thacker, Chillicothe twin brothers and sister-inlaw Howard and Virginia C. Stout and Harold and Virginia R. Stout both of Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddauther, Christina Barney a sister Bernice Stout and a brother George W. Stout.
As an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ruth was involved in the childrenss program for 36 years and served on many different board and committees. She was a charter member of the E.P.U. Club.
