John Golden was born in Washington County, Md., in 1840, and died at his home at Cypher on Sunday, September 12, at the age of 69 years, five months and 27 days.
The funeral took place from his late residence on Tuesday, the services being conducted by Rev. W. W. Reese of the M. E. Church, of which he was a member many years. Interment in graveyard at the Bedford Forge Church in Hopewell Township.
