12 May 1887
Jimmy Hadlock, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs Green Hadlock, died on the morning of the 26 April, five miles southwest of Bolivar. He had almost arrived at his fifteenth year. In actions he was nimble and graceful, and but few of his size could surpass him in athletic sports. It was probably an over exertion in jumping that caused his early and sudden death.
