Beloved mother and grandmother, Helen Rowene Stickney Thorn Davis, age 90 of Payson, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010.

She was born July 10, 1920 in Santaquin, Utah, the oldest child of Ivan Wesley and Ruby Cole Stickney. Helen was sealed to Norman "R" Thorn in the Jordan River LDS Temple.

Helen was a Pink Lady at Mtn. View Hospital and was a volunteer for the VFW and American Legion. She blessed her children and grandchildren with her handmade gifts. She will be remembered for that twinkle in her eye.

Survivors include her daughters: Norma Rae (Alan) Johnson, of Payson, and NaDene (Ron) Bartholomew, of Olathe, KS; 14 grandchildren: Jason Johnson, JaNae Greenhalgh, Jared Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Justin Johnson, Jillene Green, Clinton Bartholomew, Cynthia Millsap, Denise Black, Tony Bartholomew, Daniel Bartholomew, Tina Markham, Stephen Bartholomew, Joseph Bartholomew; 29 great-grandchildren: Aaron, Allison Johnson, Jay D., Korban Greenhalgh, Dallas Johnson, Page Lyon, Stetson Greenhalgh, Austin, Zachary, Kiley, Addison Johnson, Cameron, Averie, Carson Johnson, Samantha, Kandace, Aspen Green, Cara Bartholomew, Bromley, Loretta, Sarah Millsap, Jaron, Ephraim, Simeon, Josiah, Gilead Black, Ari Elizabeth, Charles Bartholomew, Annelise Markham;1 great-great-grandchild, Braxton Greenhalgh; and siblings: William D. "Bill" (Geneal) Stickney, of Payson, and Ivana Montague, of Richfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, LaWana Jeffs; and siblings: Joseph, Ray, Ruth Hosking, Virginia Brinkerhoff and Paul J. Stickney.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 23, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, where friends may call Monday, 6-8:00 p.m. or Tuesday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Santaquin City Cemetery.

The family would like to express special appreciation to Harmony Health and Hospice and especially Heidi, Laina, Emily, Wes and Lisa.
