MARION D. LONG Mr. Long. 61, of Box 21, White Bridge, Hollidaysburg RD 3, died at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 1983. in Mercy Hospital, after an extended illness.

Known as Grassy, Mr. Long had worked as a burner for Berwind-Railway Service.

He was born July 25, 1922, in Hollidaysburg RD. the son of Sylvester and Margaret (Hocker) Long, and Oct. 5, 1965. in Canoe Creek, married Aldine Keckler.

Surviving are his wife, two children: Paul David and Brian Lee, at home; seven stepchildren: Christine Kline of Ebensburg, Lawrence Kline of Eugene. Ore,; Deborah Corl of Englesville, Dorothy Snyder of Duncansville, Gloria Jones of Media, Sharon Yeckley of Portage RD and Aaron Kline of Lebanon, Ore., and four step-grandchildren. Also surviving are his father of Willamsburg RD and two sisters and a brother: Sylvia Walls of Hollidaysburg RD, Edith Lingenfelter of Williamsburg RD and Sylvester L., Jr. of Hollidaysburg.

Mr. Long was an Army veteran of World War II.

Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Plank & Stitt Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.

LONG — Services for Marion D. Long of Box 21, White Bridge, Hollidaysburg RD 3, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday In the Plank & Stitt Funeral Home Inc.. Hollidaysburg, by the Rev, Glenn Yeckley. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday In the funeral home.
