ABRAM H. GASH
---Abram H. Gash, son of Samuel and Mary Jane Gash, was born near Elmer, Missouri on September 21, 1882 and died February 24, 1950, age sixty-seven years, five months and three days.
---He leaves to mourn, his companion, Myrtle Gash and daughter, Mrs. Dean Powell and little grandson, Richard Dean. Also one brother, Sanford Gash of Kirksville, Missouri; one nephew, Lilbern Enterline of Cincinnati, Ohio and one niece, Mrs. Garnet Waddill of Kansas City, Missouri and a host of other near relatives and friends.
---Mr. Gash was married to Myrtle McHenry on December 13, 1905, who was his constant companion throughout life's journey together.
---His father, mother and sister preceded him in death some years ago. Mr. Gash was reared on a farm and followed this occupation for many years, but later in life moved to the town of South Gifford, Missouri at which place his life's work was ended.
---Abe, by which name he was familiarly known, espoused the Christian walk in life uniting with the Chariton Grove Baptist Church many years ago, and continuing faithful to its calling as long as he lived.
---He belonged to that sturdy stock of pioneers that settled the uncharted regions of Macon County in the earlier days, when the Gash name became familiar among those who blazed the forest and established law and order whereby you and I may enjoy the emoluments of their toil and sacrifice.
---His father, Samuel, was not only a frugal man, but had strong religious convictions, hence, was a strong pillar in the church and lent his aid to see it prosper and grow.
---Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church at 2:00 with Claude Thompson and Ralph B. Turner officiating.
