MRS. ELSIE ADLINE HOUTZ
Mrs. Elsie Adline Houtz, 81, of 1805 West Atlantic , died at 3:45 p.m. yesterday at her home after an illness of about two years.
A resident of Springfield for 27 years, Mrs. Houtz was a member of the Republic Methodist Church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Bernet of the home; and Mrs. Gloria Bell of Republic; a son, Merle V. Houtz, of 1003 West Walnut; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Frye of 1339 Concord, Mrs. Clara Rose of Republic and Mrs. Hattie Johnson of Dallas, Ore.; two brothers, Will Arehart of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Ben of Republic, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Jewell E. Windle Chapel with the Rev. Jack West officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Republic.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Bernet, Ikey Houtz, Dale Turner, Ben Arehart, Roy Richter, and Fred Frye.
