Daughter of Elizabeth Sefcik and Andy Ondrush, she was born in Spis, Austria-Hungry. She emigrated in 1914. She was a domestic in southwestern Pa. Her birth name was also spelled without the 'h' on the end.

Although I have a copy of the marriage license for Andy Medvec and Veronica Ondrush, there is no record of the marriage and the top of the license says "do not publish" in the newspaper. The license was taken out November 14, 1917 in the Fayette County Court House, Uniontown PA.

-----
Mrs. Elizabeth (sic) Medvitz, 52, of Clarendon, Uniontown, died Saturday evening. She was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, and First Catholic Slovak Ladies Uniontown Branch 68 of Uniontown.

Surviving are her husband, Andrew; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Gushura of Uniontown and Mrs. Gertrude Eriksen of Chicago, Ill.; three sons, Jacob and Leonard of Uniontown and Elmer of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph Ondrush of Connellsville, Thomas Ondrus of Amend and John Ondrush of Czechoslovakia, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Danko of Fairchance, Mrs. Catherine Sedzmak of Youngstown, Ohio, and Miss Anna Ondrush of Czechoslovakia.
