George Franklin was born February 24, 1874 in Payson, Utah. He was known all his life as Frank. There is little know about Franks early life. He was 9 Years old when his mother was killed in a tragic accident. Apparently Frank lived with relative's part time after his mother's death. His father did get remarried. Frank married Lydia Jane Fillmore in the Manti Temple on March 27, 1895. Frank and Lydia had two children. Their oldest daughter was Velma Louise and their second daughter was Ora Cecil.
