Frank Wrather, 81 years old, of Wet Prairie community, died Sunday morning at about 11 o'clock in the Gravette hospital as a result of injuries suffered in a traffic accident at 9 o'clock Sunday morning on Highway 116 one mile west of Maysville, Ark.
He was born in Salem, Ark. Sept. 24, 1879. He was married to Margaret Hightower in 1902. To this union three children were born, Earl, Mary and Clyde. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret and one son, Clyde.
In 1940 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Dolly Baker.
Surviving are his wife, Dollie, of the home, his daughter, Mrs. Mary Hinds of Grand Junction, Colo., and his son Earl Wrather, of Arvada, Colo., three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a step-daughter, Mrs. Katherine Brogen of Greely, Colorado, and two step-sons, Franklin Baker of Wellington, Colo., and Lloyd Baker of Henderson, Texas, one brother, Jeff Wrather, Walnut Ridge, Ark. and other relatives and many friends.
He was a member of the Methodist church of Salem, Ark.
Services were held at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning in Maysville Baptist Church. The Rev. Roy Galyean officiated. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery, Denver, Colo., under the direction of the Pyeatte funeral home of Siloam Springs, Ark.
