Mrs. James R. Wilson of Waterloo. wife of a former Traerite died last Saturday in Allen Memorial hospital after suffering a fatal cerebral hemorrhage. Her funeral services were held at Immanuel United Presbyterian church in Waterloo at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Robert E Stevenson, pastor, after which her body was brought to Traer for interment in Buckingham cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson was born Nina Freeman at Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Elijah and Ida Morse Freeman. She married James R. Wilson December 31, 1938, in Des Moines. Mr. Wilson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wright Wilson, deceased, of Traer. He attended Traer high school and farmed with his father near Traer until the latter's death. When the estate was settled, the farm was sold, and the son James moved to Waterloo, where he has been employed all the years since by the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian church, and of the Mary Martha society, women's association of the church .md held several offices Her parents and a daughter preceded her in death. Besides her husband, she leaves a brother, James Payne, of Waterloo, a sister, Mrs. Leon Jirsa of National City, California, and two grandchildren. Several Traer relatives of Mr. Wilson, and other members of the North Tama Wilson Clan, attended her funeral services in Waterloo, and the services at the graveside in Buckingham cemetery Tuesday afternoon.
The women's association of the church served a dinner to the Wilson family and relatives at the church at noon before the funeral. Mrs. Wilson's death from a massive stroke was sudden and unexpected. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Lauster, brother-in-law and sister of Mr. Wilson, of Bloomington, Minnesota, arrived in Waterloo Saturday shortly after her death, and attended the services. Mrs. Lauster is the former Ruth Wilson. Mrs. Dora Dennis, an aunt of Mrs. Wilson, is presently staying at the Wilson home, and Linda Wilson, James granddaughter, of Waterloo, will remain with him for a time to assist him
