Born Aug. 25, 1909, in Hamlin, Pa., he was the son of the late Manton and Jane Sausenheimer Abbey.
He attended graduate school for two years at Franklin School of Science and Arts in Philadelphia.
He retired from Urschel Clinic in Mentone, Ind. as an X-ray and medical laboratory technician.
He attended Otterbein United Methodist Church in Fayetteville and was a member of Truth for Today Bible Fellowship of Lafayette, Ind.
He is survived by his wife, whom he married May 26, 1942; and a daughter, of Concord, Calif.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Sipes Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Pa.
Burial will be in Center United Methodist Cemetery in Three Springs, Pa.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
