KINGSPORT – George Washington Anderson, 89, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Blanche Williams, in Cloud Apartments in Kingsport, Tuesday afternoon.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Cornie Ford of Kingsport, Mrs. Martha Anderson of Church Hill, and Mrs. Alice Thacker of Surgoinsville; three sons, Clint of Surgoinsville, Sam of Baltimore, Md., and Ellie Anderson of Georgia; and 40 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Long Hollow Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. T. R. Russell officiating. Burial will be in the Winegar Cemetery.
The body will be removed from Colboch-Price Funeral Home to the residence of his son, Clint Anderson, at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
