Gerald "Jerry" P. Venderley, 80, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at his home. Born in Fort Wayne, he worked as a Supervisor with Tokheim for 32yrs years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, and was an US Air Force Korean War Veteran. He was an avid fan of Local Sports and a diehard Cub's fan. He is survived by his wife, Carol M. Venderley of Fort Wayne; sons, Charles H. (Lynn) Venderley of Naperville, IL, Gerald P. (Ellen) Venderley Jr. of Newburgh, Mark E. (Mary) Venderley, Joseph A. (Sherry) Venderley, Michael J. (Denise) Venderley all of Fort Wayne; daughter, Kathryn A. (Thomas) Felts of Fort Wayne; and seventeen grandchildren. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur L. and Helen D. Venderley; son, David Venderley; and brothers, Richard Venderley, and Donald Venderley. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30am Saturday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road with calling one hour prior, Msgr John Suelzer and Fr. Anthony Steinacker officiating. Calling from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm Friday at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with Rosary at 4:30pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
