Matilda (Holmes) Shepard Benham was the daughter of David Holmes. Rev. Belos Shepard was her 1st husband. Rev. Shepard was a minister in the Genesee Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. She was the 3rd wife of Rev. Isaac Babbitt Benham. Rev. Benham was a Local Preacher in the Genesee Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died September 5, 1861.
