Nicholas B. Elstun

Lyons - Nicholas Brandon Elstun, 19, died Aug. 29, 2008, at his home, Lyons. He was born Dec. 29, 1988, in Lyons, the son of Richard and Susan Monroe Elstun. He graduated from Lyons High School in 2007, and attended Hutchinson Community College. A lifetime resident of Lyons, he was employed at Mike's TV and Appliance of Lyons and Hutchinson.

He attended the Church of the Nazarene, Lyons, for many years.

Survivors include: his parents, Richard and Susan Elstun, of the home; brother, Jake, Concordia; two sisters, Jessica Cunningham, Glen Elder, and Mandy Drayer, Independence; two nephews; five nieces; and a grandmother, Marilee Monroe, Geneseo.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond Monroe, and Walter and Irene Elstun.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with Dr. Donald Stromeyer presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons. Burial will be in Geneseo Cemetery, Geneseo. Memorials may be sent to the Kansas Head Injury Association, or the Ronald McDonald House, both in care of the funeral home.
