Dorothy Louanna Parker Bates, 76, of London, AR, died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY.
The daughter of Charlie and Effie Doyle Drummond Parker, she was born October 26, 1936 in the Flat Rock Community. She worked for ConAgra Frozen Foods and was a member of the Flat Rock Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Anna Blair; husband, Harry Bates; sister Lucille Cowell; two brothers, Elza Parker and Joe Bill Parker.
She is survived by three sons, Roger Bates, Flat Rock, Trenton Bates (Sherry), Wheatcroft, KY, Clifford Bates, Flat Rock; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren;
two Brothers, Silas "Slim" Parker and Jim Parker, both of Flat Rock; three sisters, Beatrice Smith, Russellville, Bonnie Whittle, Knoxville, Bessie Faulkner, Flat Rock.
Funeral will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Thomas Chenowith and Rev. Ronnie Burch will officiate. Burial will be at East Point Cemetery in Russellville, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
