Kalona--Dixie Albrecht, 58, of Washington, formerly of Kalona, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007 in St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Burial will be in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Richmond. A general memorial has been established.
Mrs. Albrecht was born Aug. 24, 1947 in Washington, the daughter of Gregory and Winona (Bower) Smith. She married John Michael Ahlbrecht.
Mrs. Albrecht graduated from Washington High School and from Ottumwa Heights College in Ottumwa. She was assistant vice president of Freedom Security Bank in Kalona, where she was employed for 30 years.
Mrs. Ahlbrecht was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Richmond AMVET Auxiliary Post No. 107.
She was preceded in death by her father and her husband.
