Later he sold the farm and moved to Penns Valley, Haines Township, Centre County, and purchased a farm near Aaronsburg, PA where he lived until his death. He married 1) Catherine Detweiler and 2) Mrs. Mingle. He and his wives were members of the Reformed Church. They are buried at Aaronsburg, PA.
