"H. F. COLEMAN DIES"

"Horace F. Coleman, 49 husband of Mary Lewis, native of Tennessee, and resident of Biloxi 20 years, died suddenly at 5 p.m. yesterday at Pascagoula as he was about to return home after his work at the shipyard. He leaves his wife, a slon, Louis; two daughters, Mrs. O. D. Walker, Biloxi; Mrs. Charles T. Hanson, Biloxi; a granddaughter, Mary Lyn; three brothers, Aubrey W., Nashville; Oscar, Los Angeles; W. G., Ripley, Tenn.; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Arnold, Memphis; Mrs. Earl Miller, Nashville; Mrs. E. W. Walker, Friendship, Tenn., and Mrs. Ider? Morris, Blytheville, Ark. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday from the home, 614 Kuhn street, with services by the Rev. C. H. Gunn, Methodist pastor. Mr. Coleman was a member of Carpenters Union 1667."

"The funeral of Horace Coleman was held yesterday afternoon with services by the Rev. C. H. Gunn, Main Street Methodist pastor. Pallbearers were Leslie Bosarge, J. T. Carter, Lewis Lee, S. P. Lee, Sr., Junior Tiblier, Albert Bosarge, Sidney Manual and Jos. Gazzo."

Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Records, Book 30, pg 31: Horace was 49 years, 8 months, 1 day old when he died in the parking lot of Ingalls Shipbuilding, in Pascagoula, from a coronary occlusion secondary to hypertension. He was the son of Rev. C. A. Coleman, born in TN. He was a carpenter and he lived at 614 Kuhn St., Biloxi. He was married to Mary Lewis.
