Beulah was born on January 28th, 1914 in Crackers Neck, Kentucky, daughter of the late Abraham Susanberry and Sue Ellen Brassfield Nicholas. Beulah was a cook for Oakwood of Somerset, and a member of the Grave Hill Baptist Church in Tateville, Kentucky until moving to Somerset where she became a member of the Denham Street Baptist Church in Somerset, Kentucky.
Beulah was survived by six sons, Donald Flynn of Alexandria, Virginia, Kenneth Nicholas of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Ralph (and Sherry) Nicholas of Amherst, Ohio, Roger Nicholas of Somerset, Kentucky, Larry Nicholas of Somerset, Kentucky, and Gary Nicholas of Somerset, Kentucky; two daughters, Joan Perry of Las Vegas, Nevada and Alma Haas of Amherst, Ohio; twenty-eight grandchildren; sixty-one great grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gola W. Nicholas; five brothers, Leonard Nicholas, Foster Nicholas, Hobert Nicholas, Orce Nicholas, and Dennis Nicholas; seven sisters, Marie Nicholas, Delmer Troxtell, Mattie Canada, Gertie Thompson, Theola Cummins, Alice Strunk, and Mertie Nicholas.
Visitations were held on Tuesday, November 16th, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17th, 2010 in the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. J.S. New officiating.
Burial followed in the Grave Hill Cemetery in Tateville, Kentucky.
