He was born October 10, 1917 in Lenox Twp., the son of Leon C. & Susie T. (Tschantz) Brockway and has been a resident of Lenox Twp. all of his life but five years.
Mrs. Brockway was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in World War II. He was married to Marian R. Tische on January 17, 1948 in Lenox Twp. He was a 34 year employee of Union Carbide Corp., retiring in 1981.
Mr. Brockway was a member of the Rock Creek United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming.
Survivors include his wife Marian R., four children, Joanne M. Coriale of Mantua, Linda A. Starr of Tempe, Ariz., Mary Ellen Germinaro of Jefferson and Larry T. Brockway of Pittsburgh, Pa., 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a brother, M. Clifford Brockway of Canal Winchester.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Zelma A. Brockway.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A. M. Monday at the Fleming Funeral Home, Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with the Rev. Dae-Sob Yoon of the Rock Creek United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Rays Corners Cemetery, Lenox Twp. Geneva Post #6846 of the V. F. W. will hold military services at the graveside.
