Ruth H. Laugeman

Ruth H. Laugeman, 74 of Winnett died of natural causes early Thursday morning, Aug. 31 in the Central Montana Skilled Nursing Center.

She was born Dec. 24, 1920 in Roundup, the daughter of Harry and Hallie Tripp. She received her education in Winnett, graduating from Winnett High School in 1938. She then attended college in Ames, Iowa for one year.

She returned to Winnett and on April 21, 1940 she was united in marriage to Isaac Iverson. They ranched at Dovetail until his death in 1961. She then moved into Winnett where she lived until 1968 when she moved to Billings.

She obtained her Real Estate license and began selling Real Estate. On May 31, 1970 she was united in marriage to Fuller Laugeman in Flatwillow. They continued to live in Billings. In 1971 they moved to Winnett. She served as justice of the peace for several years in the mid-1970's.

In 1973 they began operating Big Sky Lures. They operated that business until the time of her death. This business serves trappers all across the nation.

Ruth loved to read, crochet, crafts and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rozella Marie; and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Fuller of Winnett; two sons, Lee of Winnett and Tom of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Anne Weaver of Winnett and Hallie Schram of Billings; two sisters, JoAnn Correa of Raymondsville, Texas and Angelu Pugrud of Winnett; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ruth H. Laugeman will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Flatwillow Community Hall with interment to follow in the Tripp Family Cemetery at Flatwillow. The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Friends are asked to make memorials to the Flatwillow Community Hall or the charity of their choice. Memorials may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.
