Ruben Ackerman, passed away at the Veterans Hospital at Lincoln, Neb., March 197, 1967, aged 60 years, 9 months, and 13 days. He had been hospitalized most of the time the past several months.

Ruben Henry Ackerman, son of Henry and Elizabeth Ackerman, was born June 6, 1906, at Grafton, Neb. He grew up in the community. He served about four years during World War II. He was a charter member of Samuel J. Marsh post, V.F.W. of Geneva, in which he maintained continuous membership.

November 4, 1950, he was united in marriage to Pearl Freda Roseberry. To this union were born two daughters. The family farmed in the Grafton community. Recently Mr. Ackerman held a farm sale because of ill health.

Mr. Ackerman was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Pearl; and daughters, Sandra, Mrs. Melvin D. Scott; Karen and Barbara, all of Grafton; one brother, Edgar Ackerman of Friend; four sisters, Mrs. Vera Hofmann of Sutton, Elsie, Mrs. Same Roseberry of Lincoln, Clara, Mrs. Ray Werner of Meyerdale, Pa., and Mrs. Henrietta Isley of Grafton; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, march 22 at the Grafton Congregational Church, Rev. George Bartell of Sutton officiating. Kenneth Kauk sang "So Nimm Denn Meine Hande" and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Walter Maser was accompanist. Pallbearers were Michael O'Brien, Harold Unterseher, Gilbert Ackerman, Francis Rolfes, Jacob Klundt and Albert Falkenburg. Interment was in the Grafton Cemetery. The American Legion conducted military graveside rites.

GRAFTON (TNS)—Services for Ruben Henry Ackerman of Grafton who died Sunday in the Veterans Administration Hospital in G.I. will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Congregational Church and burial
will be in the Grafton Cemetery.

The Rev. George Bartell will officiate with the Morrissey - Kohler Funeral Home of Grafton in charge.

Ackerman, who was 60 years old, was a native of Stockham and farmed in the Grafton Community until recent months when frail health prompted his retirement from a active career.

He was a veteran of military service in World War II and a member of the American Legion at Geneva.

Survivors are his wife Pearl and daughters Mrs. Mervin D. (Sandra)Scott, Karen, Barbara all of Grafton; his brother and sisters, Edgar Ackerman of Friend and Mrs. Henrietta Eisley of Grafton, Mrs. Vera Hofmann of Sutton, Mrs. Sam (Elsie) Roseberry of Lincoln
and Mrs. Clara Werner of Myersdale,Pa.
