'Jimmy' Rachford Dies After Stroke in Marshalltown

James Rachford, employed by the Busby Bros. Theatres and Busby Bros. Poster Advertising Service companies the last 26 years, a part of the time in Waterloo, died at 6 p.m. yesterday in a hospital at Marshalltown of paralysis. He had been ill since being injured in an automobile accident several months ago. Friday he suffered a stroke and did not regain consciousness.

A.J. Busby and Herbert Parker, with whom decedent was associated, left this morning for Marshalltown to assist in making funeral arrangements, the time for which has not been determined. Only surviving relatives are a brother and sister, residing in Beaumont, Tex.

"Jimmy" Rachford was well known in Waterloo. For several years he was assistant treasurer for the Waterloo theatre and during the summer acted as gatekeeper for Electric park. He was promoted to be manager of the Odeon theatre at Marshalltown, and when Busby Bros. sold the franchise in this theatre he became manager of the Busby Bros. Poster Advertising Service in Marshalltown, which position he had since held. He was about 60 years old.

I would like to confirm who the brother and sister are who resided in Beaumont, Texas. I believe they were Amanda Rachford Studdert and Adam Rachford.
