Ruth J. Boyd, 66, of 4417 Independence Ave. died Saturday, Feb. 29, 1992, at her residence.
Born Sept. 12, 1925, in Champaign to Axel and Ida May Hensler Wildenradt, she married Robert D. Boyd on March 2, 1947, in Peoria. He died Jan. 19, 1987, in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by twin brothers.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Marilyn) Bowers of Bloomington and Barbara Boyd of Chicago; one son, Robert J.M. of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; one sister, Jackie Cox of Champaign; and two brothers, Richard Wildenradt of Dunlap and Don Wildenradt of Urbana.
A graduate of the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, she worked for more than 20 years as a registered nurse at Methodist Medical Center before retiring in 1977.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
