According to his Washington state death certificate, Salvatore was the son of Dominic Alfarone and Carmela Spardore. He was a self employed window washer. He was widowed.

Matthias E. Theiner kindly shared the following information about Salvatore:

"In his "Declaration of Intention" (Certificate # 31869 from November 30, 1928) Salvatore Alfarone states that he was born in "Ato Ajercio Superiare, Italy", which problably is close to Roccella Ionica where his wife Maria Stella Cordi was born. Although this particular community by the name of "Ato Ajercio Superiare" couldn't be found on a local topographical map of Italy, scale 1:25,000 cm]. It might have been spelled incorrectly just like "Superiare" should be "Superiore".

Salvatore immigrated from Naples, Italy and arrived in Boston, MA, on board the "Cretic" on March 16, 1920, although he obviously had already made a first trip in 1911 on board the "Taormina" from Naples.

This information corresponds with the passenger list [March 20, 1920] of the "Cretic" - scans 675 and 676, line 23 - where he said that he was born in "Roccella", that his wife's name was Stella, and that he was going to stay with his brother Nicola in Seattle, WA (www.ancestry.com).

His wife Maria Stella (Cordi) Alfarone and his children Violi Francesco, Elisabetta and Domenico only followed 9 years later, arriving in New York on December 10, 1929, on board the "S.S. Roma" from Naples, Italy [cf. passenger list (Dec.9, 1929), scans 865-866, line 30 and 869-870, lines 1-3 (www.ancestry.com)] and the "Petition for Naturalization", # 34299, for his son Domenico/Dominick Alfarone from September 10, 1942.

Salvatore's death date and death location can be found in "Washington, Deaths, 1883-1960" (www.ancestry.com).

So there are definitely two persons by the name of "Salvatore Alfarone", both born on December 6, but 4 years apart, and obviously from the same region of southern Italy.
The one mentioned on the "WW I Draft Registration Card" was born in Gerace, Provincia di Reggio di Calabria, Calabria, Italy. He was single and he only got married on May 10, 1920 in Roccella Ionica.
His wife's name was Maria Carmela Salerno and according to his Declaration of Intention he had 4 children - all girls - (cf. Certificate # 35019, November 13, 1931 -www.ancestry.com). Together with his wife, he had arrived in Boston, MA, on board the "S.S. Canopic" from Naples, Italy, on December 10, 1920. He passed away in Seattle in December 1978 (SSN: 531-03-9444). This "Salvatore Alfarone" can also be found in F-A-G: Find A Grave Memorial# 84744497."
