Born April 13, 1907, in Blanchard Louisiana, our beloved Grandma, mother and friend passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, August 13, 2006, at 5:02 PM. She was an accomplished horticulturist and took great pride in her gardens. Virginia was also an active member of the Shreveport Garden Club, an award winning ballroom dancer and a dedicated member of St. Marks Cathedral. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald R. Brinkmann; and son, Reginald R. Brinkmann Jr. She is survived by her son, John Baxter Brinkmann; and grandsons, John Baxter Brinkmann Jr., Christian Bridge Brinkmann and Reginald R Brinkmann III, all of Dallas, Texas. She was loved and adored by many and will be missed by all. A special thank you to family friends and caregivers for their dedication and friendship to our Virginia. We have one more angel in heaven today. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral. Officiating will be The Very Reverend M. L. Agnew, Jr., Dean of St. Mark's Cathedral. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.

Frances Virginia Hart Brinkman was the sixth child of C.C. (Christopher Columbus "Bob") Hart, and Isabelle "Belle" Reid Hart in a family of six children. She is the sister of Mattie Bell Hart who is interned in the second grave to her left. She married Reginald Roy Brinkman, Sr. on December 20, 1928.
