The son of John & Ruth (Gaither) Warfield of Warfields Plains Plantation in Anne Arundel MD, Benjamin married Rebeckah Ridgely in Oct 1731 in Howard Co MD, the daughter of Judge Nicholas Greenbury & Sarah (Worthington) Ridgely of Annapolis, Anne Arundel MD.

Children with Rebeckah:
1) Captain Nicholas Ridgely Warfield (1732-1814); never married.
2) Captain Benjamin Warfield Jr (1734-1806); m. Katherine Ridgely Dorsey (b. 1745) (sister of his brother Vachel's wife Sarah).
3) Vachel Warfield (1737-bef Oct 1815); m. Sarah Dorsey (b. 1747) (sister of his brother Benjamin's wife Catherine).
4) Lucy Warfield (b. c1739); m. Henry Dorsey.
5) Mary Ridgely Warfield (b. c1742); m. Thomas Dorsey (b. 1738) (brother of first wife of brother Elisha).
6) Elisha Warfield (1744-1818); m1. Elizabeth Dorsey (1744-1776) (sister of the husband of sister Mary), m2: Ruth Burgess (1763-1835).
