Lois Marie Beede was born Oct. 3, 1917, in Dixon, Ill., daughter of Charles Le Roy and Laura Emma Knight Beede. She married Raymond Gordon April 18, 1936, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death July 23, 1996.
Lois was a clerk at Woolworth's and, during World War II, she worked in the restaurant at Woolworth's. She was also a toymaker at the former Strombeck-Becker, Moline. Later she owned and operated, with her husband, the former R&E Automotive, Moline.
Lois enjoyed crocheting, sewing and reading.
Survivors (and spouses) include her sons, Ronald Earl (Charlotte) Gordon, Moline, and David (Norma) Gordon, Orion; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and sister, Gladys Elizabeth Gerdes, Dixon, Ill.
