Melodia Tabor Hebert Pitre, 79, a native of Choctaw and resident of Thibodaux, died at 10:22 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
She is survived by four sons, Shyen Hebert and wife, Linda, Brian Hebert and wife, Mary, Timothy Hebert and wife, Marilyn, and Wayne Hebert; one daughter, Kathy H. Borne and husband, William; one brother, Nolan Tabor; seven sisters, Joyce Tabor, Vergie Glynn, Shirley Farace, Vernice Benoit, Brenda Richard, Rose Mae Rink and Margie Vicknair; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Delaune Hebert; her second husband, Joseph Pitre; her parents, Edward Tabor and Elodia Sanchez Tabor; two daughters, Caroline Ordoyne and Patty Ledet; and five brothers, Lloyd, Marcel, Vincent, Joseph and Roland Tabor.
