Franklin C. Grove, Marion Township, died at his home yesterday at 11:00 A.M. He had been in ill health for the past two months.
Born at Spring Township, April 15, 1880, he was the son of Daniel and Leah Clinesmith Grove. In 1902, he married the former Polly Hall who died in 1949.
Surviving are these children: Edgar, Centre Hall; Mrs. Nellie Hand, Lakeland, Fla.; Harry Grove, Burnham; Mrs. Walter Ford, Whitehall, Md.; Russell Grove, Loganton RD2; Walter Grove, Bellefonte RD2; Mrs. Marlin Bell, Palmyra and Elwood Grove at home.
In addition he is survived by 21 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one brother, Hiram Grove of Benner Township.
A retired farmer he was a member of the Bellefonte I.O.O.f. and the Bellefonte Encampment.
Funeral services will be held at the Wetzler Funeral Home at Bellefonte, Thursday at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Thomas E. Frantz of Milesburg officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Wetzler Funeral Home at Bellefonte, Wednesday from 7 to 9 P.M.
