Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Clyde McSwain and Inez Lemmon Baker. He was a member of Manning First Baptist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Carolyn Martin of Rantoul, Ill., and two half brothers, William H. Baker of Harleyville and Clyde Baker, Jr. of Sumter.
Services will be held at 5:30 on today at Stephens Funeral Home, with burial in Manning Cemetery.
