B. F. Hardeman Dies in City of Denver On Fourth of July

Information reached Montgomery yesterday of the death of Benjamin F. Hardeman in Denver, Col. on July 4. Mr. Hardeman died exactly one year from the day he left Montgomery in search of health in the west.

Mr. Hardeman was a native of Georgia, but had lived in this city for twenty years. He came here a young man and began life in a modest way, gradually, through strict attention to business, building up a moderate fortune and competence. He had wide business connections from Virginia to New Orleans. Later he engaged in the real estate business under the firm name of Pierce and Hardeman, in which he continued until his broken health forced his retirement from activity.

Mr. Hardeman is survived by his widow and three children, one sister who resides in Roswell, Ga., and several nephews. The body will be brought to Montgomery, arriving here Saturday night, and the funeral will take place from the family residence, corner of Washington and South Hull street sometime Sunday afternoon. Rev. Charles A. Stakely will officiate.
