Mr. J.W. Goss Dies at His Home Here

Had Lived in Albany Sixteen Years,
And Was Popular Traveling Man-
Funeral This Afternoon.

After an illness of one week, Mr. J.W. Goss died at his home on Pine street yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock, of Bright's disease. Mr. Goss, who had lived in Albany for the past sixteen years, and who was 60 years old, was employed as a traveling salesman for Armour & Company, and was out of the city on a business trip when he became seriously ill a week ago.
The funeral will be conducted at the home this afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. J.L. Claxton.
The pallbearers will be Messrs. R.W. Miller, D.A. Duffee, A.M. Pilcher, T.N. McCranie, E. B. Acree, A.R. Rivers, R.L. Bulloch and R.L. Pitts.
Mr. Goss is survived by his wife and six children-Miss Doris, Miss Mattie Joe, J.W. Goss, Jr., Nell, Frances and Edgar. He is also survived by three brothers, Messrs. Bush and B.F. Goss, of Laurel, Miss., and Mr. Zack Goss, of Columbus, Ga.
The pallbearers are from Armour & Company's force in Albany, among whom Mr. Goss was very popular.
The family has the sincere sympathy of a host of friends in their bereavement.
