Mrs. Martha Jane Lemons had spent most of her life in Voca, since her childhood days. She married on 9 February 1888 in Brownwood, Texas. The couple returned to Voca. They lived two or three years in Corpus Christi and then returned to Voca. Her husband preceded her in death. Survived by two daughters - Mrs. Fred Appleton, Mrs. JIm Schafer; two sons - L.J. and T.S. Lemons; one brother - Harvey Allen; one sister - Millie Hennington; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Another son died in 1941.
