Mrs. Helen Hyder Quarry
Mrs. Helen French Hyder Quarry of Toledo, Ohio, was killed in an automobile accident near Henderson, Texas, Thursday at 1 p.m. She was on her way to Salona Beach, Calif., to visit a son, Robert E. Quarry.
Mrs. Quarry was born in Hawkins County. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward S. Hyder and had been a resident of Toledo for several years. She was an employee of the Chrysler Corp. and a former Hawkins County school teacher. Mrs. Quarry was a member of the Methodist Church.
In addition to her son, Robert, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jack Steadman and Miss Amelia Quarry of Sullivan Gardens; two grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. E. B. Wolfe, Abbeville, Ga., Mrs. Ben Creech, Morristown, Mrs. Ada Hawthorne, Church Hill, Mrs. Herbert Legg, Ellensburg, Wash., and Mrs. Charles F. Wiggins, Kingsport; four brothers, Bert H. of Surgoinsville, Edward S. of Ellensburg, Wash., W. I. of Weeser, Idaho and Francis Hyder of Surgoinsville; and several nieces and nephews.
The Body will be returned to Carter-Clamon Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, for Mrs. Helen Quarry, in the Carter-Clamon Chapel.
The Rev. Dan Kelly and the Rev. Roger Hilton will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Charley Hawthorne, Bill Creech, Edward S. Hyder, Herman Hyder, Jimmy Hyder and George Testerman.
The body will remain at Carter-Clamon Funeral Home until after the services.
